Elliott Lee is adenoid-free

Just wanted to let everyone know that Elliott had a quick procedure this morning to have his adenoids removed. Everything went smoothly at the hospital, and he was back to his normal self within a couple of hours. The doctors say his breathing and hearing will be much improved now. Already, his constantly running nose has also been affected: we haven't had to wipe it all day!!! Elliott thanks everyone for thinking of him. Tot ziens!

And do you guys already know what to wear for Carnaval?

Actually, we don't know that much about Carnaval, except that it is a big party and the town is shut down for 4 days. It looks like Halloween in the stores right now, with all the crazy costumes available for kids and adults. Are we supposed to dress up? If we dress up, is it only when partying, or is it all day long? When is Carnaval? I'll have to ask my coworkers.

Carnaval starts the 17th of Feb (6 weeks before eastern) and it ends with ash Wednesday. Unofficially, it mostly starts on the Friday. ;-)
Of course, you are supposed to dress up! Although a lot adults just put on a blue farmers shirt (blauwe kiel) and some sort of scarf (de colors depend on the city). Normally, you dress up when you go out and when you watch the parade, which is in most cities on Saturday or Sunday. (Maybe Willem knows when it is in Eindhoven.) But since the parade is during the day, you can dress up (and get drunk!!) all day long. If it is not too cold I would certainly try to go and watch the parade.
Btw, 4 days long Eindhoven is called Lampegat!
Alaaaaf!!
