Three firsts

We had three things happen for the first time this week:

1) Theo rolled over from back to front. He's done it at least four times now, so it wasn't a fluke.

2) Theo is getting his first tooth. Megan is convinced of it, I'm still a little skeptical.

3) Cameron watched his first PSV match. PSV lost in a Champions Leauge game against Inter Milan.

We have one more week until our trip to Portland for Christmas. I think Theo is making all this sudden progress because he wants to make a good impression in America. After all, it will be his first time "home".

Sinterklaas comes tonight!

Theo and Elliott probably aren't sleeping very well tonight, because Sinterklaas is bringing presents! We put the boys shoes next to the radiator with carrots for Sinterklaas' horse and some candy for Sint in case he's hungry. Elliott loves Sinterklaas' horse. Here it's called "het paard van Sinterklaas", and Elliott goes around saying that all day long to everyone he meets. Since Sinterklaas knew that Elliott was such a big fan of his paard, he even got him a stuffed horse as a gift. It's already one of his favorite toys, and he's sleeping with it tonight.

Sinterklaas fever is running pretty high in Holland right now, and I think we're both glad that it will be ending soon. For an example of what we see on tv every night, follow this link at your own risk.

I hope the boys realize that Santa and Sinterklaas don't both come each year - it's one or the other!

"Big Beautiful"

Elliott has a few favorite songs that he asks us to play or sing for him over and over and over. For example, there "This is Halloween" from the 'Nightmare Before Christmas' and "The Bare Necessities" from 'The Jungle Book'. Apparantly he learned a new one from the daycare at the gym. He calls it "Big Beautiful", and when he hears it he can't stop dancing.
